The Bulleen Templestowe Cricket Club welcomes the release of the Draft Timber Reserve Master Plan, a significant proposal that outlines a long-term vision for improving facilities and recreational opportunities at Timber Reserve in Doncaster. The draft plan has been developed by Manningham Council following extensive community consultation in 2025 and is now open for public feedback.
Key features of the proposed redevelopment include a new sports pavilion with gender-inclusive change rooms, an upgraded social room and kitchen, improved spectator facilities, public toilets, and dedicated spaces for match officials, first aid and storage. The plan also proposes a reconstructed cricket pitch built to Cricket Australia standards, updated cricket nets, reconfigured soccer pitches, enhanced recreation and play areas, improved footpaths, and upgraded car parking facilities.
For BTCC, the proposed redevelopment represents an exciting opportunity to secure modern, inclusive and sustainable facilities that will support current and future generations of players, families and supporters.
Community members are encouraged to review the draft plan and provide feedback through Manningham Council’s Your Say consultation process before the closing date of 11:59 pm on Sunday 2 August 2026. The club strongly encourages all members and supporters to have their say and help shape the future of Timber Reserve.
