With great pleasure and excitement I’d like to inform you that Marcus Adams has verbally agreed on terms to be our 1st X1 captain for the next 2 seasons.
I want to thank Scott, Les, John and Luke Mason for helping with this important appointment process.
Marcus is 39, has played 294 1st XI games, 280 with Bayswater Park and 14 with Kilsyth in the RDCA. Over that time he’s scored over 6,000 runs, taken 340+ wickets, and also done a bit of keeping here and there.Last season he made 357 runs in the Lindsay Trollope Shield, plus another 141 in the T20s.
I think Marcus is an excellent fit for our Club. He is an experienced batsman and is excited with the prospect of leading an exciting and talented young playing group.
